Texarkana Movies in the Park - Summer Events

TEXARKANA, TX- The City of Texarkana, Texas Parks and Recreation Department is gearing up for summer events for the community to enjoy.

The Texarkana Farmers Market season has begun and residents and visitors can enjoy locally grown and sourced products from the region every Saturday from 8:00 am – Noon. The market is held in downtown Texarkana at 500 N Stateline Ave. The community can shop local fruits and vegetables, meats, baked goods, salsas, honey, plants and florals and artisinal products.

The market will conclude its season on August 1st with the Best Salsa in the Ark-La-Tex competition. Market attendees can sample each salsa and cast their votes for their favorites alongside local judges. Categories range from Kids to Restaurant and People’s Choice, so there is a place for everyone to participate.

Booth fees are $15 and vendors must bring their own set up and minors must have a parent or guardian present. To join the market email farmersmarket@txkusa.org.

Movies In The Park will kick off in Spring Lake Park across from the airplane. Each movie will start at dusk and the community is encouraged to bring blankets and chairs so they are comfortable on the lawn and concessions will be available for purchase.
