Come From Away Comes to Texarkana for the 25th Anniversary of 9/11
Texarkana area residents have the chance to be part of a national phenomenon as Americans in Texarkana and more than 450 communities like ours choose to mark the 25th anniversary of the events of 9/11 in the coming weeks, not by reliving its horror, but by celebrating the incredible love and compassion those events triggered. The common thread across the United States in the coming few weeks is the presentation of the award-winning smash hit musical production, Come From Away, which tells the uplifting and true story of what happened that day when seven thousand air passengers from around the world were grounded in Gander, Newfoundland, and this small Canadian community invited those “come from aways” into their lives with open hearts.
Come From Away in Texarkana will bring the award-winning musical’s story of hope, humanity, and community to the Stilwell Theatre this September.
Come From Away Comes to Texarkana
Come From Away will be presented locally by community cultural anchor TexRep, in six performances during the weekends of September 11th and 18th, in the Stilwell Theatre on the Texarkana College campus, as the opening production of TexRep’s 35th season.
