Texas High School Student Council Earns Top National Award
Texas High School student council earns the 2022 National Gold Council of Excellence Award by the National Student Council (NatStuCo).
To meet the requirements for the National Gold Council of Excellence Award, a student council must:
- Have a written constitution
- Hold regular meetings
- Successfully sponsor and participate in activities
- Have a democratic election process
- Show leadership development and service to the school and community

Background on the National Student Council
NatStuCo provides and promotes professional development and leadership training to student council advisers. They, in turn, teach leadership skills to student council members. NatStuCo prepares and empowers student leaders to better serve their schools and communities.
